CEO / Director / Lead Psychotherapist

Who I Am

Psychotherapy is my Lifework. I love helping clients unfold and liberate themselves by working together. It's like watching a rose develop in slow motion. Yes, thorns and tattered leaves, but they are resilient and claim space. Becoming unstuck and closer to who you want to be is psychosocially freeing. As a therapist, I guide you beyond the surface-level acceptability, and we delve deep into sometimes uncomfortable memories. Each session is designed with you at the heart of it all, ensuring that we prioritize your journey and support you in becoming your best self. Your growth and well-being are our primary concerns, and we're here to help you every step of the way. I treat depression, trauma, complicated life transitions, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, communication, and relationship issues, amongst others.

I have been a therapist for over thirty years and am trained in cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, narrative, psychoanalytic, and play therapies. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in Oklahoma and Texas. I also have a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (earned through the National Association of Social Workers). Furthermore, I am a Board-Approved Supervisor in Clinical Social Work (BAS).

I received my BA in Sociology (Social Welfare Emphasis) with a minor in World Literature from the University of California, Davis. I earned my MSW with an emphasis on children and their families from the University of California, Berkeley. I received my PhD in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma, focusing on social-emotional learning and attachment. Because attachment, relationships, identity, and belonging affect most people, my clients range from young children to older adults.

Psychoeducation plays a significant role in my work with persons served, whether in psychotherapy, consultations, presentations, government contracting, or academia. Although traditionally used as a therapeutic intervention, I use it to set clear communication, goals, and methodology for the collaborative work upon which we will embark. You and I will work together to help you become unstuck and develop the courage to do something different. So contact me today!

Rest assured that you are in good hands. I am a member and held accountable by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers, Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, National Association of Social Workers, American Psychological Association, Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, American Educational Research Association, and Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education.
